The Original Big Mac sandwich at McDonald’s has been a stoner favorite for years. When you get the munchies, there’s always room in your stomach for “two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions on a sesame seed bun”.

A true pro of the fast food game, and an expert on taste would also know that McDonald’s signature “mac sauce” is also available to be added to any of the items on the menu. At one time, there was no charge for adding the “secret sauce” to any menu item, considering is was the company’s staple condiment. However, in these troublesome economic times McDonald’s has issued a flavor tax of .59 cents for its delicious mac sauce. Great on a double cheeseburger, but not so great on a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. (yes — speaking from experience).

Anyway, for today’s modern and mobile smoker, McDonald’s has put all the flavor of a BIG MAC into a “snack wrap” form. With the logic that “anything tastes good in burrito form”, I decided Id give the Mac Wrap a try. Twice.

Receiving my snack wraps at the drive-thru window from a young man named Jerius (who was obviously a fellow connoisseur of the sweet leaf) was in itself a comforting experience. I gave him a full faced grin, and said “preciate it mann..” as I pulled into the nearest parking spot to see what the snack wrap was all about.

Upon first bite, I noticed the same texture of the original Big Mac, and was somewhat surprised to find pickles included in the snack wrap form of the classic sandwich. Chopped onions, and hamburger cut into crescent moon shapes along with a layer of melted cheese, pickles, lettuce, and mac sauce…wrapped into a flour tortilla. The taste was exactly that of a Big Mac with a lighter feel to the meal. After inhaling the first wrap to scour away my intense hunger, I opened up the second snack wrap and decided to savor it the best I could. Overall a pleasant experience for the money.

To be real, for $1.59, it’s not the most filling item you could get. — The greasy double cheeseburger remains a cheaper, and more filling counterpart. (all important aspects to the average stoner). Yet, for a change, the Mac Wrap is a great choice. It was delicious, filling, and ideal for a “meal on the go”. Not to mention there are some McDonald’s that are open 24 hours. That’s why The Big Mac Snack Wrap from McDonald’s gets four out of five “hits” on the CanniCulture Review.
